Orith Azoulay has been working in SRI/ESG since 2002. She joined Natixis in 2008 to create and lead its SRI sell-side Research team, and since 2017, created and leading the Green and Sustainable Finance Hub.
As an analyst, Orith’s sectors of specialty have historically been energy, utilities, real estate - building materials & construction, but also carbon/climate related topics. She is also Natixis’ expert on green bonds.
Prior to joining Natixis, Orith was a senior SRI analyst at Groupama Asset Management from 2003 to 2008, where she created and led their SRI practice. She also worked for the ORSE, a French think tank for Corporate Social Responsibility, where she was a research analyst. Orith started her career as an equity analyst at JP Morgan Chase in London.
Orith graduated from ESCP Europe in 2000 (Diplome Grande Ecole, Diplom Kaufmann).
Laurie Chesné brings 10 years of experience in sustainability (ESG) advisory and analysis, with a focus on environmental issues and sustainable finance. Laurie previously worked for Vigeo Eiris, where she held the position of Head of Green and Social Bonds and Senior Sustainability Consultant. She was previously a specialized consultant in energy & climate and eco-design issues.
Laurie has been appointed as a cross-asset originator in Corporate & Investment Banking’s Green & Sustainable Hub. She acts in an advisory structuring capacity for all green and sustainable financing and advisory solutions provided to CIB’s EMEA clients.
Laurie is a qualified chemical engineer, specialized in Environmental and Sustainability Management, from the Ecole Supérieure de Chimie Organique et Minérale (ESCOM).
Julien Duquenne, senior cross asset originator, with 20 years of experience in banking & finance with several positions in structured asset finance & public development aid. Various international assignments in APAC (Singapore, Hong Kong & Vietnam) & EMEA (Paris, Morocco) with extended practice from origination to distribution of credit transactions, corporate and asset based, mainly Real Estate, Project Finance, Shipping & Offshore Finance.
Julien joined at its inception the Green & Sustainable Hub to expand internally the project and focus on co-originate, structure, distribute credit products (bonds, loans, cross-assets) with all CIB teams involved. Julien hold several degrees from the University of Paris Dauphine & EM Lyon Business School (France).
Anne-Claire Lejeune has been appointed as a cross-asset originator in the Green & Sustainable Hub where she focuses on the origination and structuration of green & sustainable financing solutions for the Corporate and Investment Banking clients.
Prior to joining the Green & Sustainable Hub, Anne-Claire was the Green Captain of the Natixis Corporate Portfolio Management’s department. Beyond her 3 years’ experience as a credit analyst and portfolio manager, she acted as an ambassador for green, social and sustainability opportunities for the Coverage.
Anne-Claire joined Natixis in 2014 in the CIB EMEA Platform’s business management team. She holds a degree in Corporate Finance from Neoma Business School and studied at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology as an exchange student.
Thomas Garnier is a Sustainable Finance specialist in charge of advising Natixis CIB Clients and originating & structuring Sustainable Finance solutions for EMEA across a wide variety of green, social & sustainability themed opportunities in close partnership with Natixis CIB’s Investment Banking teams.
Prior to joining the Green & Sustainable Hub at its inception Thomas was part of Natixis MTN trading desk and sell-side analyst dedicated to Green Bond Market Research within Natixis CIB’s EMEA Global Markets activities. Previously Thomas held various finance positions including as part of AXA Cash Management activities and Exane Financial Engineering teams.
Thomas holds a Master in the field of Corporate Finance & Financial Engineering.
With 20 year of experience in the finance industry, Morvan is the Energy Transition Expert in our Green & Sustainable Cross Asset Origination Team. He is based in Natixis’ Head Office in Paris.
Morvan has built an extensive experience in the Energy & Commodity industry in New York and Sao Paulo where he spent 7 years heading our Structured Finance department for Oil & Gas and Metals & Mining clients active in Latin America.
He also worked in Paris where he used to be in charge of developing our Mining franchise in Africa and Europe and more recently on growing our gas related business in EMEA in line with Natixis’ energy transition ambitions.
His proven commitment and pragmatic approach are its key skills to swiftly deliver transactions in an efficient and timely manner.
Morvan holds a Msc in Civil Engineering form Ecole Speciale des Travaux Publics (ESTP).
Natacha began her career in 2002 as a Banking Auditor in the General Inspection of the BPCE (Banques Populaires Caisses d’Epargne) Group.
She joined Natixis in 2009 where she first held a position of a Senior Coverage officer within Natixis’ Corporate Coverage Division before moving to the Energy and Natural Resources Department.
Since 2013, Natacha is specialized in the Food & Agri sector originating trade and structured financing solutions for the Agri Traders, coordinating M&A and Investment Banking activities for the bank’s Food & Agri related customers.
She joined Natixis’ Green Hub in January 2021 to bring her sectorial expertise on the trade as well as the food & agri sectors.
Both a French and Russian national, Natacha holds a double Master’s Degree (Sciences Po Paris DESS in International Finance & Moscow University Master Degree in International Relations).
Robert is responsible for Natixis’ Green & Sustainable financing and investment solutions for the Americas platform. He works closely with local business lines to assist issuers, borrowers, and investors access the growing and evolving world of green and sustainable finance. Robert works actively, along with the rest of Natixis’ Global green and Sustainable Hub, to enhance Natixis visibility and brand as an expert go-to bank for green & sustainable finance. Recent notable transactions include acting as Sole Sustainability Coordinator for NRG Energy in their inaugural $900m Sustainability-Linked Bond, the first from a North American issuer, and Sole Sustainability Coordinator for the Mexican Government in their inaugural €750m SDG Sovereign Bond.
Robert brings over 15 years of experience in financial advisory, banking and project finance, with a focus on environmental and sustainable finance. He joined Natixis in January 2019 from National Australia Bank, where he held the position of Director, Specialized Finance, as well as various other roles during his 14-year tenure at the bank.
Robert holds a BSc in Biological Sciences & Psychology from the University of Edinburgh.
Anne-Louise Quairet has been appointed as cross-asset originator in Natixis Green & Sustainable Hub in 2019. Since November 2020, she is based in Montreal, CA. She focuses on the origination and structuring of green & sustainable financing solutions for Natixis CIB clients in Americas.
Prior to joining Natixis, Anne-Louise was an investment analyst in various impact investments funds including Danone Communities and Inco.
She holds a Master degree in Banking & Finance from University Paris Dauphine.
Olivier joined the Green & Sustainable Hub as senior cross-asset originator in October 2020 and has been appointed Head of Green & Sustainable Hub, Asia Pacific on July 2021.
Olivier brings 20 years of expertise in advising & financing clients in the Energy & Metals commodity sectors built in EMEA and Asia Pacific. After few years in corporate banking within Natixis Shanghai branch, Olivier joined our Energy & Natural Resources franchise in 2004 in Paris and Hong Kong where he specialized in commodity structured & trade finance accompanying EMEA clients until 2010 and APAC clients until 2016.
More recently, Olivier was acting as senior banker advising and financing large commodity trading houses in the Energy & Metals sectors.
Olivier holds a Master’s degree in Management, majoring in Corporate Finance from Neoma Business School.
Xing Lan Joined Green & Sustainable Hub, Asia Pacific, in August 2021.
Xing has significant experience as a sustainability practitioner, having focused on sustainable finance advisory, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting, carbon management, climate intelligence and corporate sustainability strategies in her previous roles. Prior to joining Natixis, she had been providing sustainable consultancy services to clients in Hong Kong, Singapore and Mainland China since 2013. She started her career as a research associate in Hong Kong Polytechnic University, with a focus on the life cycle assessment approach and product-level carbon accounting.
Xing has a Master of Science in Environmental Measurement and Assessment from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden.
Thomas Girard has a cumulated experience of 20 years in Wealth Management advisory, Responsible Investing (RI), Green & Sustainable Finance.
He joined Natixis GSH in 2018 as product specialist responsible for the business development towards non-banking financial institutions (NBFIs) and created the G&S Syndicate Team in July 2020 to optimize the syndication and distribution of green & sustainable assets across all CIB at global scale. Under this position, he drives the hub’s RI market intelligence and manages its execution capabilities towards ESG-driven investors.
Previously, Thomas contributed to the establishment of Natixis SRI sell-side Research capabilities. He was a Senior ESG Analyst (2011-2017) specialized on the financial institutions, notably the banking sector, and became Natixis SRI Research team’s representative in London (2014-2017) to expand the team’s franchise globally. He also worked at MSCI ESG Research as a Consultant, and at ORSE (a French think tank for Corporate Social Responsibility) as a Project Manager where he realized a practical guide on the pedagogy of SRI for the French financial institutions (in partnership with Paris EUROPLACE) and a report on engagement practices around the world relating to ESG criteria (in partnership with French FIR and AFG and with the support of EUROSIF and the PRI).
Thomas holds two Masters: one in Business Law (University of Strathclyde) and another in Finance & Control (Université Jean-Moulin Lyon III), plus an MBA – Operational Management & Sustainable Performance (ISC Paris).
Dominique joined the G&S Syndicate Team in July 2020.
Previously, Dominique Blanc was a member of the GSH's Center of Expertise & Innovation since 2019. He worked on thematic research and on the development of innovative methodologies to support products and strengthen the expertise and integrity critical to sustainable finance. He also worked on regulatory monitoring and contributed to the implementation of the Green Weighting Factor.
Dominique has dedicated 15 years of his career to sustainable finance. In 2004, he co-founded EthiFinance, an independant non-financial rating agency, where he worked as an ESG Analyst.
Since 2008, he has managed Novethic's research - a susbsidiary of the French Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC) dedicated to sustainability - where he developed green and sustainable market watch, certification of green funds and SRI products, research activities, as well as networks of responsible investors.
Dominique holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from Arts et Métiers ParisTech.
Laurence Ribot joined Natixis' Green & Sustainable Hub in January 2021, to work in the Green and Sustainable Sysndicate Team.
Laurence brings with her over 20 years of experience on the Debt Capital Markets, where she started as a Bond trader. For the past 15 years, she has been working on the Euro Public Bond syndication, with a focus on the Covered Bond and SSA segments. She was also one of the Green Captains in the syndication team and acted to better integrate and promote ESG investors' knowledge.
Laurence holds a degree from Toulouse Business School and has worked in Frankfurt and Paris.
William has 20 years of experience successfully arranging syndicated loans for a wide variety of borrowers in Western Europe and emerging markets, ranging from unsecured corporate facilities to structured pre-export and other asset-based transactions.
A Green Captain on the Corporate Loan Syndicate desk since 2018, William’s responsibilities include loan pricing, market liquidity analyses and syndication coordination and execution for corporate, sovereign and FI borrowers in the EMEA region.
William graduated from EM Lyon and Trinity College Hartford and completed INSEAD’s Inter-Alpha Banking Programme.
Bruce brings over 30 years of experience in Debt Capital Markets, where he has worked predominantly in fixed income sales and trading.
Bruce joined the Natixis Americas credit sales team in 2015, covering investors with a focus on emerging markets, high yield and structured credit. In 2019, he joined the Americas Credit Capital Markets Syndicate team, with responsibility for EM and HY and joined the Green & Sustainable Syndicate Hub in March 2021. Bruce is an original Americas Green Captain working to promote the Green and Sustainable Hub platform and improve issuer and investor engagement with Natixis in ESG.
Bruce holds a B.A.Sc. degree in Finance from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
Cédric Merle joined Natixis in 2017 as SRI sell-side analyst. He now works within the Center of Expertise which is the innovation arm of Natixis Green & Sustainable Hub (CIB). In 2018, he authored the first flagship report of the Center of Expertise titled “Solving Sustainable Development Goals Rubik’s Cube: An impact-based toolkit for issuers and investors”. He also published on the subject: “Greening the Belt & Road Initiative”, and currently focuses his work on the “transitioning of brown industries”.
In 2017, he lectured at Ecole Polytechnique on China’s Energy Transition and Climate Change Action. Prior to that, he served as “Deputy Head of international Financial System and Summits Preparation Office” (G20, G7, OECD) at the French Treasury (Ministry for the Economy and Finance). He was member of the inter-ministerial taskforce on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
He is a graduate from Sciences Po (Master Public Affairs) and HEC Paris (Master of Science Sustainable Development & Social). He is also PhD candidate in Political Sciences at the University Paris II Panthéon Assas.
Fabien Cobat has been appointed to the Center of Expertise of the Natixis Green & Sustainable Hub in 2021.
He joined Natixis in 2017 as a project manager for the Trade Finance ENR department leading several projects toward digitalization of processes, part of the New Dimension Strategic Plan.
Prior to work at Natixis he was an engineer in the oil & gas industry based in the United Arab Emirates then in France. He oversaw various missions from asset & well integrity to drilling activities.
Fabien holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and a Master in Finance from ESSEC.
Ivan Pavlovic joined Natixis in 2008 to cover European Utilities in the fixed income market. He subsequently expanded his coverage to some major names in the Oil & Gas industry. In 2018, he joined Natixis’ Green & Sustainable Hub to undertake thematic research projects revolving around energy/sustainability issues. Ivan has over 15 years experience in the energy sector, as a scholar, then as a regulator in the field of power generation and transmission, finally as a sell-side/thematic analyst covering the European energy sector.
Prior to joining Natixis, Ivan worked three years at PricewaterhouseCoopers as an auditor/consultant and two years at France’s Commission de regulation de l’énergie (French electricity and gas regulatory body) as a financial analyst. Ivan graduated from Sciences po Paris and holds a Master’s degree in international economics also from Sciences po, as well as a Master’s degree in Energy Management & Policy from Columbia University, New York.
Radek Jan joined Natixis in 2018 to conduct thematic research within the Green & Sustainable Hub, providing content for the creation of impact-based fixed-income instruments and investment solutions, analysing trends in the green bonds markets and following the development of sustainability-related legislation and regulation.
Since 2019, still within Natixis, he works jointly for the Green & Sustainable Hub’s Center of Expertise and Global Markets Research, expanding his thematic research into sustainable infrastructure and energy, focusing on issues such as the implications of climate change and energy transition for the value of infrastructure assets and their impact upon the credit profile of companies.
Radek graduated from Sciences Po Paris (Master’s degree in Finance and Strategy) and the London School of Economics (MSc Environmental Economics and Climate Change), hereby combining a practical grasp of finance with the understanding of theoretical and empirical aspects of environmental, natural resources and climate change economics.
Sandra Fraim has over 18 years of experience in the Capital market and Asset management industries.
She has been in charge of various missions in Natixis since 2006, firstly as a project manager for the Natixis Asset Management Fund Management, SRI research and organization divisions and then as a senior consultant within the CIB internal consulting division, leading projects and transformation streams, part of the implementation of 2011-2016 Strategic Plan.
Sandra then evolved as a business manager for the Investment Banking new division. She joined the Green & Sustainable Hub in September 2019, to support its business growth, coordinate its transversal initiatives and ensure the full integration and monitoring of its global and cross asset activities within Natixis CIB.
Sandra holds a master of Science in Physiology & Computer Science Engineering (Université de Poitiers) and a master of Finance (IAE Paris).
Hong My NGUYEN is a Green and Sustainable Investment solutions specialist, and is part of the Natixis CIB’s Green and Sustainable Hub. She is in charge of designing and structuring green investment products in partnership with Natixis CIB’s financial engineering teams.
Prior to joining the Green and Sustainable Hub, Hong My was a senior fixed-income strategist, covering credit markets. She was also expert on green bonds and ESG strategies. She was ranked N°1 Green Bond/ESG research and N°1 Credit strategy at the 2018 Euromoney Fixed-income Survey.
Hong My graduated from CentraleSupelec in 2009 (Diplôme Grande Ecole, Master of Science in Applied Mathematics).
Hieu Nguyen joined Natixis’ Green & Sustainable Hub in November 2020.
He joined Natixis in 2005 as a fixed income strategist for Global Markets sales. After 3 years, he moved to the fixed income Engineering team to become a structurer there. For 12 years, he was in charge of bond derivatives pricing & innovation (callable OAT, forward bonds), marketing advisory (inflation swap, Livret A, CMS products, steepeners), relative value and Mifid regulation.
Prior to joining Natixis, he was a web programmer for several successfully established startups (eFront, Fortuneo) and did this for 7 years.
Hieu holds a master’s degree in applied mathematics from Ensimag and a Master’s Degree in Finance from ESSEC.
